Wil moved to London to study Pharmacology at King's College London in 2007. It was there that he started FatKidOnFire (FKOF), which earned him the 'Digital Journalist of the Year' title at the 2010 Guardian Student Media Awards. Today, FKOF is three chart-topping record labels and an award-winning digital publication with over 100,000 followers.

Wil co-founded Chew and then went through the Ignite accelerator programme in 2014. The team went on to raise three rounds of investment, acquire a US-based competitor and scale to 400,000 users. The startup was acquired in 2017 by BandLab Technologies, which is when Wil joined Ignite as Programme Director. Today, he is Venture & Ecosystem Director at the ATI Boeing Accelerator – a joint initiative between the aerospace industry and HM Government.

Since 2017, Wil has personally worked with over 60 early-stage companies and has helped invest over £3m.

He is an active angel investor (25+ investments to date), both a VC scout and a VC LP and regularly mentors and advises startups in a variety of sectors.

Wil likes: startups, a good sound system, whisky, DJing and running his record label.
He dislikes: commuting, chickpeas and falling off his bike.
